I fear that the LGBT community is going to eat itself alive and continue to pick off groups that don't belong or "don't deserve protection" anymore until only one group is left.

Are they really?

Let's see, a lot of trans people are either ignored or only tolerated if they're the "right" kind, and a lot of the times bisexuals are only considered legit when they're dating one kind of person because some fucks don't get what bisexual means.

And now I see gay men getting a lot of heat and treated like they're privileged or only allowed if they have the "right" opinions to whatever's in to believe.

What? What groups have been "picked off" that are actually a part of the "LGBT" acronym?

Trans people get a lot of shit, sometimes even in LGBT groups and communities. Bisexuals get a lot of shit because a lot of people tend to believe "has the capability to be attracted to either gender" means "attracted to EVERYONE AT ONCE" (the whole "bisexuals are more likely to cheat myth) or they don't count unless they have a same sex partner.

That's not really an LGBT problem so much as it is an everyone problem.

No rational LGBT activist would say "bisexuals aren't queer" or something. I would agree that some activists suggest separating transgenderism from the rest of the acronym, since gender identity and sexual orientation are not the same thing, but even then. Controversies about bisexual people and transgender people aren't new, and they are much less prevalent than they used to be. I don't know where you're seeing a massive influx, a new wave, of anti-bisexual and transgender hate, the acronym is basically heralded by all movements across the world.

Lesbian radfems and their supporters often say that bisexuals are not queer.

There's one doing the majority of the picking from what I can tell. Just sayin.

Heh. Everything I've read about queer history says that this has been a part of the community and movement since the beginning. *snrk*

And that group is probably going to be gay men.
