Huh. I have a sex drive and masturbate but I still consider myself asexual because I'm utterly uninterested in having sex with another person. Being depressed or not depressed wouldn't change that.

Exactly. I think the issue is that a lot of people are conflating sex drive with asexuality and it's not the same thing.

I have a sex drive and masturbate too but I have no interest in having sex with other people. After all the bullshit in this thread tonight I'm seriously debating whether I should just call myself celibate instead because asexual apparently has way too much baggage.

Yeah, I don't officially call myself asexual for that reason. I know far too many people making a huge deal out of it and being massively annoying about it so... nah.
