Secret baby? Whatever. But she was GONE. For HOW MANY SEASONS.

And we didn't see a body. So she's still alive and Tony's going to find her in Paris and they'll be a happy family and safe and AWAY FROM THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT.

And I'm loving this. I really should go on tumblr and see how many of you tiva fans are trying to retcon this. This is fucking delicious. (Btw, if you wouldn't be so childish, I really wouldn't relish this so much.)

I've already retconned it so that isn't even really Ziva's. LOL!

Of course, I don't have to rub it in everyone's faces. I'm celebrating in private and with my friends that also didn't like her.

Okay, I hate Tiva and I still think you are being an ass. Plenty of people ignore bits of canons they don't like or write AUs that get their preferred couple happily together. There is nothing wrong with that as long as they aren't telling other people they have to do the same.

This. I've seen the pro/anti-Tiva shipping wars online and I think some of the people from BOTH sides of that thing often come off really obnoxious.

If I'm an ass for enjoying the fact that so many of the annoying tiva shippers are crying right now? I don't wanna to not be an ass. They were so sure tiva would be end game.

It's really just an added bonus they killed her off. As I said, if it wasn't for those tiva shippers, I probably wouldn't be enjoying this quite so much.

They can write all the AUs they want. Doesn't change the fact that she's DEAD. (And yanno, most of the tiva shippers act like their ship is the only right ship, so yanno, they deserve what they get.)

No, I'm misogynistic because I'm expressing delight at the death of yet another female character. I'm not, btw. But as soon as one admits being glad a female character is gone--even if it's because they're a terrible person (please, Ziva was not a nice person in the slightest)--then that makes one a misogynist. Never mind that I adore Abby and Bishop and Kate. Yep, enjoying Ziva's death means I hate all women. *rolls eyes* It's sad when that's the only argument one can make.

I hate that kind of argument - that you must like all female characters, or you hate women. Why is it so hard to be able to judge a character for traits besides their gender?

lol tiva is endgame, at least as far as tony's character is concerned since that's all it's been tied to in his exit.

Wow tiva shippers will say anything to try and make that true. It isn't because that nasty cow is dead.Tiva is now in the past. Endgame would mean they actually ended up together ... but they didn't.

oh wow, 1) it's viewing comprehension and 2) you could really use some. That's like saying Francis/Mary on Reign wasn't endgame just because Francis died (as he did historically), even though it was the last relationship depicted on the show for either character. Do you just..not get how storytelling works or something? Tony's story is kaput, finite as far as the show is concerned and it ended with Tony riding off into the sunset with his-and-Ziva's child (and every headcanon chance with Ziva too since pssst, there's every chance she's not actually dead. habeas corpus rule, remember?). like, keep stocking the salt mine all you want, tiva was endgame.

I guess here's what I don't get: you got what you wanted in the end. Ziva's been gone for three years already, so you've been able to enjoy the show without her for a while as it is. And now, as you constantly feel the need to remind everyone, she's dead now, too. You don't have to worry about her darkening the show's doorstep ever again. And fans of a pairing you hate didn't get the happy ending they wanted.

So leave it at that. By rubbing your feelings about it all in Tiva/Ziva fans' faces all you're doing is further antagonizing them and making them dig in their heels on their "she's not really dead/will reunite with Tony" belief (and yes, despite your insistence, if the show didn't actually show Ziva's body, there is natural reason to believe she might not be dead. That's just how it often goes in TV land in general: no body=possibly still alive). You're only fanning the flames. It's not worth it. And it does make you come off just as obnoxious as the Tiva/Ziva fans you complain about. It doesn't reflect well on you.

If any Tiva/Ziva fans ever personally attack you specifically, or rub their attitudes in your face, that's one thing. Feel free to fight back where needed. But otherwise, if I were you, I'd let it drop and keep my celebration between myself and any other fans who might feel the same way I do.

So I'm not allowed to be mad that a character has been off-screen for how many seasons now and they just decided to off her for Tony's manpain?

Like, legitimately there was no reason to add her to the pile of dead women from this season.

The term "manpain" bugs me, seriously. Aren't we supposed to NOT belittle men for showing feelings? And aren't we supposed to not treat women special? That's what I thought and yet people are treating a female death count way different from male death counts, which no one seems to care about.

A whole host of double standards here.

It's not the death, it's the fact that she was killed to provide a reason for Tony to experience man pain. It's not belittling his feelings but protesting the reason they exist. Why not kill off McGee or Gibbs (or DiNozzo, Sr) instead of Ziva. It'd still give him the man pain.
