Re: Movies you weren't expecting to love
The moose are great so I get you on that part, one my favourite bloopers at the end is the addition to that scene. It's a really nice family-relationship movie and I was terrified that something awful would befall Koda at the end but it all worked out.
Oh I didn't know it had a sequel, I tend to avoid them because... well they're not the worst things but they're not that great either. But if it's okay I might have to check it out, because I do love the first movie a lot.

(Anonymous) 2016-05-20 12:30 am (UTC)(link)Also, the moose get girlfriends. I thought the relationship between Kenai and the girl was pretty good (and Koda is clearly still important to Kenai). If that's your cup of tea, you might like it but I can see someone not liking it for adding the romance when there wasn't one in the original. FYI.
Re: Movies you weren't expecting to love
I'm not against romance in movies but I liked that the first one didn't have that, or need it in order for it to be fully enjoyable. It's one of the reasons why Mulan II is a bit eh for me because I liked the understated romance in Mulan and the second one pretty much just shoved in all the romance they didn't have in the first movie so it kind of over-saturated the film?
But if the main romance isn't so bad I might still enjoy it.
