Man, understanding birdsong would be the equivalent of that one song in a language you don't know that sounds really poetic and deep and but then you find a translation and it's "hey baby nice tits let's fuck," except constantly. And nesting season would be worse. "Mom mom feed me feed me now I'm starving ooh a worm worm worm gimme gimme *gulp* mom mom I'm hungry feed me now now starving please food now..." And territorial disputes would be like that neighbor who screams at everyone to shut up and then spends the weekend early morning communing with his leaf blower and lawnmower. "Fuck you can't you shut up?" ... silence. "That's better." ... Makes louder noises
