Here is an entomologist who has Opinions About Wasps:

https://askentomologists.com/2015/09/27/please-stop-sharing-the-wasps-are-jerks-memes/

But I say, if it's in your room, get it out of there or kill it.

Yeah, but they're an entomologist, they'd probably say the same thing if we were in Starship Troopers

Are you allergic to them? Do they scare you?

I always try to let bees and wasps outside, but I understand people who kill them. (More than people who kill harmless bugs; that irks me.) Their stings can be very painful even if you're not allergic.

On the other hand, they can be hard to get rid of without provoking them and making them more inclined to attack.

If I had a wasp in my room, I'd open a door/window and hope it would fly out but otherwise ignore it. Of course, I am not allergic, so the stakes are low for me.

Wasps terrify me. Just hearing this thread has stiffened me considerably. But let it live. Get it gone somehow, but let it live.

It is the wasp's room now buddy. Just grab what you can and flee to safety, build a new life in the broom closet.

Catch and set free. Wasps are awesome. (Although, if you're massively allergic, maybe don't try to catch it.)

If it's a non-aggressive wasp like a mud dauber lure it out if possible, or ignore it.

Catch and set it free. His queen needs him.

Only kill it if you're allergic. Otherwise try to catch it, or if wasps freak you out too much, open a window and try to get it to fly out.

If it was a non-winged bug, I would say it's more understandable to kill it, but winged insects usually fly away if they have the chance.

I almost thing it's less understandable to kill a non-winged bug? You can let them out much more easily.

Step 1: Get a boyfriend.

Step 2: Get said boyfriend to catch it and put it outside.

(Girlfriends work too, I'm just speaking statistically.)

Open a window.

Set it free. Unless it stings you, then it brought it's destruction upon itself.

wasps are basically pure concentrated evil, I say kill it (with fire if preferred, although brake cleaner is the most efficient method)

Step 1: Kill it. Keep it as intact as you can.
Step 2: Place dead wasp on table.
Step 3: Flip glass bowl or small glass over it.
Step 4: Name it Chairman Waspy.
Step 5: ????
Step 6: Profit!

(My roommate actually did this. He is not a good person.)
