I would prefer to believe that no one legitimately cares this much about a girl using a song lyric to describe herself. Particularly since it's a) accurate, and b) the writer of said song is cool with it.

It's not accurate, okay, Blake Lively is from Tarzana, which is not Oakland. facts.

seriously though I'm one of the people who's been talking about it the most and I would say at most I think it was kind of clueless and laughable for her to say, but like, Blake Lively has done stupider shit. It's more that I think the argument around it is interesting, and I think a lot of people on here are saying dumb things about it. Like, the issue people have is not that a white person quoted a song written by a black dude, you know?
