Okay, but I am, personally, deeply uncomfortable with the Empire/First Order fandom for the same reason I'm uncomfortable with the people who run around shouting "hail Hydra!" and wearing Hydra pins in Marvel fandom. They're both Nazi allegories (in Hydra's case, literally an offshoot of Nazis) and they're not subtle about it. That's my point.

If someone's favorite character is Hux, fine, they can like whatever they want. I'm not taking him away from them. But what I saw in the movie was a Nazi officer who made me so uncomfortable every time he appeared that I couldn't wait for him to be gone, and if another person found that interesting in some way, well, that tells me that that person is not the kind of person I want to engage with on a friendship level. And I'm okay with that.
