Writing a fic made me realise I've no clue.

How long does it take someone on average to masturbate???

It depends on the person and scenario. Sometimes you want to draw it out, sometimes you just need it over quick.

I'm female and get myself off in like 10 minutes.

Now I feel like an under (or over?) achiever for coming in like 30 seconds... (with help, would probably take longer sans vibe).

Depends on the person. I almost always take like 20 minutes, which is annoying.

I mean that can depend on a lot of factors. I am a woman, and when I was younger it could take an hour for me to reach orgasm, but now I am an adult and I know what I like, but it still takes me like 20 minutes to orgasm. Some of my friends take longer, some take way shorter. I feel like (but don't actually know) that guys often don't have to take as long as women.

So like... it varies man.

Men taking less time is definitely the stereotype, but in my experience it doesn't translate to the range of people you're likely to encounter irl whatsoever.

There's someone like me who is a forever-taker and then I know women who are like lol 5 minutes.

I mean, for me 20 minutes on the low end of time and I know a few women who are 45 minutes+, where I have met a man who needs that much time on average... But yeah, I think overall, personal averages is a more helpful measure then trying to get an overarching human average

Eh, I've gone anywhere from four minutes to half an hour, but as long as it's not, like, three hours (absent orgasm denial kinkiness or something) you're probably okay.

I'm going to echo the "depends". Mostly on how horny/desperate I am.

If I'm gagging for it, I'm usually done in about 2-3 minutes (I only know that because I have favorite videos I like to watch).

Other times when I haven't been in the mood, but know an orgasm would help, it takes me about 20-30 minutes.

If I'm in a hurry and need to get it done fast for whatever reason? Like 30 seconds, or even less...it's usually ridiculously easy since I know exactly what works for me.

But a lot of the time I'm just bored and draw it out because I don't have anything better to do and it can easily be at least an hour.

Cis female, 41. On average maybe 10 or 15 minutes, but that includes a lot of variation. There have been times when I've been desperately horny and all it takes is touching my clit to get me over the edge (although I might go for round two or three or whatever if I feel like it) and there are times when I'm kinda vaguely horny or trying to go to sleep and then I have to ramp up to it. Or there are times when I have the house to myself and decide to go all out with toys and stuff.

I'm female, 28, and I can get off pretty reliably in like 5 minutes, though I usually take a bit longer than that. However, I have a hard time getting more than vaguely turned on, and my orgasms are often really underwhelming.

If I take a lot longer and focus really hard on getting myself into a turned on headspace, I can usually manage a medium/low intensity orgasm (as opposed to a low/very low intensity one). But my libido is so low that it's hard to even feel like it's worth the effort most of the time. :( :( :(
