Well come and listen to my story 'bout a gal named Jed
Who took it all off so this show could get ahead
Tom joined up and he and Hugh were in cahoots
And when she saw Loki, they started knockin' boots
(Havin' sex, that is! Like Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry! Or Tom and his fake sister!)
The online folk ask: "What kinda name is Jed?"
But her full name's Jemima, Le Carre's book said.
Why the just the nickname? The real question is, to me-
Do we blame racial connotations or illiteracy?
(A lack of book learnin' that is! And we don't mean the Gun Seller!)
In two days we'll have to say goodbye to Jed and all her kin
