I know it, anon, right down to also being 31. And like you, a lot of it is that I just don't seem to be looking. (Though the guys I have considered haven't panned out, but when I consider one guy every two years, what do I expect?!)

Same here. Occasionally there'll be a guy that makes me wonder, but then I find out something that turns me off him or the whole thing just fizzles out, or...People tell me I need to lower my standards, but why?! That doesn't really seem to work out for anyone else.

And just randomly (online) dating people is not worth all the effort. I rarely truly like someone when I first meet them, so how many dates would I have to go on before I'd know?
