Anachronistic music + fandom matches

Pick a fandom, or a storyline from your fandom, or a particular character or pairing from your fandom.

Now, if the fandom takes place in the modern day, pick a very old song that fits them. Like, maybe a folk song or a piece of classical mysic or some other song written, like, pre-1930s.

If the fandom is a period piece, or a fantasy in a period-type setting, pick a very blatantly modern song - a pop song, or heavy metal or something like that.

The Silmarillion

"Shut Up And Dance With Me" by Walk the Moon totally fits Beren and Luthien, okay? It works on multiple levels too,

The main verses are obviously about their first meeting(s) in the forest. If you're stretching it you could also say the second verse references their cosplaying as a vampire and werewolf because they may have been kinda into that.

The chorus is both about the part of the story where they break into Morgoth's fortress to steal the Silmaril and Beren is SO SCARED and Luthien is like "chill, I got this", and also about their over-arching story, with Luthien's choice and Beren being like "Ok....but....like...are u sure I don't want to screw up your awesome immortal life --" "O just shut up honey, come dance with me."
