(Anonymous) 2016-05-26 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)I'm aware it's bigoted, yeah.
Re: Controversial Opinions/Thoughts
(Anonymous) 2016-05-26 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)Do you feel that way about people who have gone through physical transition? I ask because you mention pronoun fields and it sounds like its an online identity thing only. If you met some woman or man who you found out later was trans in real life, having physically transitioned, would you feel the same?
Re: Controversial Opinions/Thoughts
(Anonymous) 2016-05-26 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)But it's hard to say entirely because I've only knowingly met on irl trans person and I didn't get along with him pre-transition and haven't seen him much after the fact, but I make sure use proper pronouns and whatnot when referring to him.
It's more if someone makes a big deal out of it. Like I understand if that online personas are much different than irl personas and that people obviously want to be by people who are like them, but making it a point to state it seems counter-intuitive.
I suppose my issue is more if you're trans, wouldn't you want to be more stealth about it?

(Anonymous) 2016-05-27 12:23 am (UTC)(link)I would be more worried if you felt the same about trans people IRL.

Lolz, if only I could, haha. But at this point, there's not really a way to hide it or get around it, unless I want to be misgendered forever.
