I think it is more important that everyone have some health insurance than that some people can have great insurance. I'm even willing to take worse coverage if it means that people who don't have insurance can get some.

I think healthcare is a basic human right and universal health care should be the norm. This may mean that the quality goes down as it has in some countries with universal health care. I don't care. It is still a moral outrage that anyone wouldn't have access to health care.

And I judge anyone who disagrees and who acts as if them having the best health care is more important than everyone having access.

I'm not willing to take worse coverage, but I agree everyone e should have coverage.

Fuck. Yes. Completely agreed. It's amazing this still even has to be a debate in this day and age.

This is the conclusion every other first world country came to about 70 years ago, yeah.

Judge away. As someone with shitty healthcare who can't get help when I need it, I want the good shit and I would step on any number of little people if it meant I could stop being in pain.

pull yourself up from your bootstraps, whiner

pull yourself up from your own jockstrap!

Your own standards mean that I shouldn't give a shit about your pain

I have great healthcare through my job that I don't use much. If I could sign it over to someone with chronic pain issues... it wouldn't be you. You realize some (lots) of the people you'd willingly step on are fellow chronic pain sufferers?

DA but it doesn't fucking matter who else is in pain when you are in pain. Not that you'd know, since you don't have to use that great healthcare you've been given. Must be nice to have it all and not need in, instead of the alternative.

AYRT-- nice try, but it does matter. My mom has terminal cancer, and good care but not the best (the best might not save her honestly, she would have to be one of those fuckers who paid someone to kidnap some poor kid and rip out their liver) and I'm glad I'm not in her position or in yours. But to act like healthcare is a zero sum game and say that you'd rather others suffer so you don't have to is awful. I had puke inducing screaming torture migraines all through my teens and never wished them on anyone else.

+1000000 as someone who's actually had to live without access to healthcare and ended up with even worse problems later when they finally DID have access.
