It always baffles me a bit when people feel the need to demonize a person because they have different political views. It's still possible to get along on a personal level. And it's surely more productive than artificially producing hostility.

As long as they are not actively harming people or trying to preach to me about ____________, I'm pretty laid back around people. Half my coworkers are pretty conservative but somehow we all get along.

I'm sure that I could get along with George W Bush if I wanted to. But there's some people you don't want to get along with, and Bush isn't over that line for me but he's pushing along towards it.

And it's not just a question of political views, either. I think there's a distinction that's relevant here between political views and political actions.
