Well, good luck with those babies since you wouldn't be able to afford toys or books or movies for them. In this hypothetical situation, THAT'S what you work for, the extra unnecessary stuff. Basic living wage would buy you a roof over your head, lights, heat, and food.

No. they said "decent living wage". Not "bare minimum wage to keep you from starving or freezing to death".

And even if was just that, sounds good to me, I can still pump out babies. Each baby gets that too after all.

You're purposefully missing the point of the statement. And no, you would get the money for the baby and it would go towards food and clothing.

I am in no way missing the point of the statement. NO ONE would call "decent living wage" the barest of minimums. And even if that WERE the case, there's no way most people would work, let alone take jobs that require a lot of effort, heartache, or extensive labor.

So you're saying in a case where people had their basic needs and only their basic needs taken care of, they would all just sit at home and never have internet, books, movies, games, yarn, pens, notebooks, or any of tht ever again?

I like that yarn is included in your list. I would definitely work for yarn money.

Yarn money is no joke. That shit is expensive. Sure, 3$ a skein doesn't sound so bad, until you realize you can make almost nothing with just one skein. And I like to make blankets, they're my favorite project, so my yarn projects are always expensive.

ok idk what AYRT up there was going for but I think if there were to be a UBI it would not be for all the bells and whistles you seem to think would come with it. It would be very, very basic.
