nayrt but I immediately judge anyone who says "I HATE (insert fandom) FANS" way more than anyone who is a fan of even the most stereotypically awful fandoms. Not to mention, being an obnoxious fan, at least you're doing something positive and acting on something you love. Hating others purely for liking people makes you sound like the pettiest, most immature kind of person.

have you considered

that, like

sometimes

fans of stuff do awful, awful, seriously negative shit that deserves public censure

such as sending death threats to actors' spouses, or hounding artists till they attempt suicide, or generally acting like insanely horrific hateful entitled brats

if you can't grasp that such actions do not deserve adulation on the basis that "they like stuff", then idk what to tell you

People who like stuff are very passionate.

Acting on something you love isn't automatically positive??????? Like where do you even get that? People have done AWFUL things in the name of things or people they love, both in and out of fandom. It is the action itself that should be judged; its intent doesn't make it good or bad.
