I don't love TBBT, though I think it has its moments, but overall it's not my cuppa. But like I don't care if you like it. and the people being personally offended and outraged that you're not watching ~objectively better~ shows are obnoxious

Agreed. I really hate this trend with people acting like they're superior to other people/more intelligent simply because of the TV shows they watch (speaking in a general sense here). I'm a "Community" fan, but a lot of the fans of that show that I've talked with really set my teeth on edge with their snobby/superior attitude towards people who don't watch shows like that. Just...get over yourselves, guys.

I've only seen a little of "Big Bang Theory" here and there (I think a few episodes from the earlier seasons?), but I thought what I did see was cute and funny, and if OP and others out there are fans, then awesome. More power to ya!

The first two or three, or *maybe* four seasons are cute and funny. It jumped the shark *hard*, after that. It's like two different shows.

I don't think OP has any obligation to "watch better shows." I *do* believe that TBBT is full of horrifyingly abusive relationships, which it presents as cute, funny, normal, and something to aspire to.
