"I don't keep up with current episodes, but I used to watch it and like it. I don't really get why it's allegedly so super offensive."

The first two or three seasons are fun, but there was a radical change in tone and characterization. I consider season 3 or 4 onward to be some type of reboot, re-make or spin-off.
