I unashamedly love it. In my experience, though, most people who complain about it haven't watched it since the first few seasons and have no idea how the characters have developed.

They haven't developed, they've been dismantled and destroyed. Season 3 or 4 onward is like some type of reboot or spin-off.

Shut up.

Anyone who defends or prefers the later seasons of this show and believes that the characters have actually "developed" is someone I don't want to associate with. The early seasons are flawed, too, but they're preferable.

My thanks to everyone who posted un-anon, so that I can block you.

The first few seasons, while flawed, are the only part worth watching. I literally cannot wrap my head around people who like or prefer the later seasons. It's like you're speaking some alien language or we're in the Twilight Zone.

There is *no* actual "character development" on this show. There's just a lack of continuity, and a decision to turn the characters into stock sitcom characters and almost completely abandon their original personalities.

Seriously? Compare Sheldon now to Sheldon back then. That's GOOD writing, showing him slowly changing over time based on events and interactions.
