Like wouldn't have Leia or Han or Luke recognized her?

Well, the way Leia and Luke react to her when they first meet her comes across a little like recognition...ESPECIALLY Luke's reaction. I mean the guy is all deer-in-headlights, and I don't think that's just "OMG A PERSON."

It could be "OMG A FORCE SENSITIVE PERSON WHO ISN'T HORRIBLY DEAD" though.

Why wait until the next movie to reveal the connection? Wouldn't it have more impact at the end of a movie, than at the beginning of one?

JJ Abrams was trying to convey with Rey and Leia's hug that "both of them being strong with the Force and never having met, would know about each other — that Leia would have been told about her beyond what we saw onscreen and Rey of course would have learned about Leia. And that reunion would be a meeting and a reunion all in one, and a sort of commiseration of their mutual loss."

And I thought Luke looked angry, which isn't the expression I'd expect for a long-lost daughter or niece.

If you watch the scene again, Luke actually looks quite sad. His eyes are red, like he's just been crying.

Not if they never met her and she goes by a different name now. Not if Luke had some reason to keep her hidden from everyone. Not if one or both of them did suspect and the parts where she's about to be talked about and the scene cuts away are left off for the big twist (which would be kinda stupid).
