*wince* Ella Enchanted?? Like, the movie wasn't so bad objectively, but as someone who loves the book practically every aspect of the movie rubbed me the wrong way.

I've never read the book but it was just so hamfisted - badly - with the ~message that I didn't enjoy it. Ever After >>>>

AGREED! All my friends wanted to go see it, and it was so wildly different from the book I still seethe a bit when I see it's playing on TV or something dumb like that. :P
