What are some movies that were so bad, you felt offended watching them.

Agree with that OP about the Hobbit movies.

The other movie that comes to mind, where though I didn't leave the theater, I left absolutely furious was a movie called... Pathfinder, I think? About a Viking boy raised by Native Americans? The premise seemed kind of interested. Execution, offensively terrible.

I once had a delirious fever-dream about a live-action movie adaptation of Avatar The Last Airbender. Thank god that movie doesn't actually exist.

50 Shades Of Grey.

Like, I went into it with the mindset that it wasn't for me and that I might not like it, but I was shocked by how badly acted a d also viscerally unpleasant and just... Nasty it was. This isn't me saying it's harmful or anything, but I thought the charactwes were just, like, deeply unpleasant people doing deeply unpleasant things.

I'm still mad it even exists, let alone having to watch it.

I haven't even watched it, but it is known that the movie-that-never-was based on Susan Cooper's "The Dark is Rising" is an offensive piece of crap, both to people who loved the books and to the people who didn't know the books. It's just that bad.

But my most hated movie is the film version of Otfried Preußler's "Krabat". It's so terrible and since this is one of my most cherished books from my childhood, I felt actually offended watching it.

Teen Witch. I've seen a lot of bad movies but that one had such a creepy, creepy plot device.

*wince* Ella Enchanted?? Like, the movie wasn't so bad objectively, but as someone who loves the book practically every aspect of the movie rubbed me the wrong way.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

Whenever someone asks me why I don't think movies like Daredevil, the Star Wars prequels, or even Frozen are the worst movies I've ever seen, I only think back to that cinematic disaster and weep to myself over watching it in the first place.

This one's easy, but Batman & Robin. Even to a person with bad taste in movies, it was boring and annoying.

I only caught part of the second Transformers movie, but what I saw was so ridiculous, I had to switch the channel.

The Ten. I don't even remember why I watched it, but it was just so bad. And the worst of it was playing prison rape off as a joke.

Transformers. It's the movie that started my cold war against Michael Bay. All is not forgiven, Michael. It probably never will be.

Too damn many. Want a list?:

Mr. Deeds (Adam Sandler version)
Jupiter Ascending
Transformers
Pearl Harbor (My first experience with Michael Bay. I was pissed off within 10 minutes of seeing that thing and noped out.)

Sliver, and to a lesser extent Jagged Edge. It's possible to be erotic and intelligent at the same time, but there's a pretty big difference between being erotic and just being sleazy.

The one that comes most easily to mind is Le Week-End. Two frankly unbearable old Brits go to Paris, remind the population of Paris why living in a tourist destination is shit, skip out on the bill at dinner, argue about their sex life, skip out on the bill at their hotel, and generally make me regret the whole experience.

I haven't managed to watch the whole thing, even if parts are pretty.
It's just so bad. It's so bad and it made so much money and there are going to be four more. Why, James Cameron? Why?
