I think that's fine. It's hard to relate to people who forgive things that have so personally affected you. Everyone deals with trauma in there own way, and everyone deals with people who've hurt them in their own way. Your way is not wrong and you shouldn't feel bad. Besides, characters are fictional people, not real ones, and they can't be hurt by your actions.
