more than a little anti-Semitic, specially when one considers all the wacko conspiracy theories about how the Holocaust

Jesus Christ. I agree this is a dumbass move but I'm pretty sure Marvel didn't decide to mess with Captain America because of antisemitism.

No, of course they didn't.

Having the control be so total that he killed one of his old superhero pals was a bit much. You'd think, after all the whinging about killing off D-Man (who's back now, by way of apology) and Nomad (or was that just me whinging?) that they wouldn't now turn around & have implanted-memories!Steve kick Jack Flag out an aircraft with no parachute.

But no, I don't think it's anti-Semitism, and the arguments claiming it is are silly.

Marvel has a history of doing really shitty and offensive things with its Jewish characters though, so it's not that much of a stretch to call this part of an larger trend.

And just because they don't intend for it to be anti-Semitic doesn't mean that it isn't.
