Yessss I love the idea that part of his role in coming back was to help Elrond, since he died defending Elrond's father and grandparents. Perhaps he was one of the only exiled Noldor elves who had few enough regrets and taints to be re-embodied that fast?

I also always wondered if he brought Elrond some messages from Earendil and Elwing, and/or spread around some updated information about the Valar and Valinor in general.
