oh yeah. back a few years when every shounen anime was running concurrently with its manga and there were a lot of fillers to keep them from running out of content, I was always ten thousand times more interested in the minor characters from the filler arcs than the main cast. Yu-Gi-Oh and Bleach were some of the best/worst offenders.

Currently losing my shit over a minor character in One Piece. There is zero fic of him and like...two fanartists on pixiv, neither of whom are very good at drawing. It's driving me nuts.
