Well, drinking enough fluids during the day will help the dryness. Also using a mouthwash specifically designed to combat dry mouth.

If you're on certain medications or have an underlying medical condition, then I don't really know.

Sorry, missed this - I do drink a lot! I've not heard of dry mouth mouth wash before, generally mouth wash makes it worse, so I'll try that.

Mouthwash for dry mouth tends to not have alcohol, which is drying. Brands may vary though -- I've only really used Biotene.

You may want to think about your diet as well - cut back on drinks that act as diuretics, such as caffeinated or alcoholic drinks, as they can dry you out. Try to stick with a balanced diet as much as possible.

Also, make sure you aren't breathing through your mouth as you sleep.

*Correction, I lean toward the Biotene with the green, not the blue. They stupidly changed the formula with the blue and now there are actually more chemicals (parabens) in it.

I definitely do breathe through my mouth.
