While I totes welcome more named users, there's nothing wrong with going anon. It would feel bizarre if this community didn't have anons.

I've been lucky in that people haven't been dickish to me, but of course I understand that you never know how people are going to perceive you, or how they'll react to your comments, so I get where you're coming from. There are both good and bad things about having a username, and each person has to decide if the effort and 'risk' is worth it.
