I miss the ability to game, but it won't stop me replacing my 7.5 year old mac with a new one this summer. I just effortlessly enjoy using them in a way I never have with a windows. The latter just seems so... Yeah, that's a computer. It can be fast and shiny and high spec as anything but I don't know, I just love the Mac/OS feel and interface. I do done creative pursuits, but not enough to justify it. Still - I chalk it up as an investment.

But regardless; kinda same, OP! Try just finding some friends with a console? My flat have an Xbox 360, PS4 and Wii between us so we share.

I don't even like the Mac interface. Out of curiosity, did you switch from PC, or have you always used Macs?

Except for the price, the interface is the reason I would not want one. I'd sooner get a Linux, at least you can mod those.

I've always used Macs and I need to keep using them for school.
I don't have the option of just going out and getting a PC.
