As for me, today I finally washed and waxed my car. I spent the rest of the morning thinking that if cars could feel, it was probably feeling like a happy car.

I managed to find two English videos of my favorite songs from the 1980s The Gnomes movie (that's currently in copyright hell over in Sweden, I think? I can't remember the nationality of the authors)

Holy crap. I thought I was the only person who had seen this.

We also had the book of Gnomes. It was very very inspiring as a tiny little five year old (and started my brother on a habit of stealing garden gnomes from people's lawns to "free" them in the woods, but that's another story).

Same here! It's one of my favorite books. I think there's one for their holidays but I have yet to score a copy of it off of Amazon. It's on my "I'll get it at some point" list

Swedish anon here, it's no longer in copyright hell! Norwegian company CCV managed to release it on DVD in 2010.

The most hilarious of personal victories:
Just managing to successfully do an impression of G1 Starscream in front of a standing fan. In my case: doing so and saying "MEGATRON HAS FALLEN, I STARSCREAM NOW LEAD THE DECEPTICONS."

I am actually loling aloud imagining this. Congratulations anon, you are a true hero.

So there's this store selling limited editions of beach blankets, and one of them is blue with stars (and I'm in my Cap phase, still) - but I managed to get to the store soon enough to get it, it's hella cute (also I might be a tad too obsessed, but let's not mention that).

That's awesome! It's always nice to have something to wear or use that subtly reminds you of your fandom so you get that little perk up during your daily routine.

It's been for a few years now. But like, it's getting bad...I got bed sheets and pillowcases with stars, too. my keychain has a star on it. IT IS NO LONGER UNDER CONTROL.

I went out to find a nail polish colour I was after, and I found it. (Granted it wasn't a difficult colour to find but I've been wanting it for a bit, so yay).

My mother bought me dinner and a new pair of super comfy shoes today. I also got to leave work an hour early.

It's been a pretty good day! C:

Almost nothing better than free food, man. Doesn't get much better than that!

People called me back! I'm in the process of setting up my new house and I want to get the closet redone and they called me back! Plus the painter called me back so I can have him come out and estimate that and it's finally moving along after sitting for a week doing nothing yay!

It's such a nice feeling getting to decorate a new place.

LITERALLY EVERYTHING!

Okay so the place is a condo, 2 bed, 2 bath, and one main living/kitchen/dining area.

And the previous owner LOVED accent walls. There are accent walls in the bedrooms and dining/living area. Plus the bathrooms have no windows and the walls are way too dark for no windows. I like light, airy spaces.

So I'm leaving the hallway, doors, ceilings, and trim, but otherwise, the whole place.

I'm so excited to have a fresh start.

Sounds like the rekindling of a beautiful friendship~
