Characters with names that sound goofy to you (whether they're intended to be or not). Do you like the goofy name? Dislike it?

I love the punny themed names in Dragon Ball Z where certain families or species or other groups of characters are all named after vegetables/underwear/dairy products/etc.

The DBZ names are the friggin' best.

October Daye. It's just so twee and irritating. Though I just don't like Seanan McGuire's writing. The way she writes women is kinda off-putting to me.

The Bond movies have some pretty fun names like Pussy Galore and Holly Goodhead.

I love the name "Finrod Felagund" so much.

It's not exactly a character, but no matter where I am, I have to struggle not to burst out laughing when I remember that the internet tried to name a real ship Boaty McBoatface.

On one hand I am super disappointed they didn't go with it because it robs future generations of one of the funniest historical tidbits ever; but on the other hand it would be really unfortunate if the ship sank killing everyone on board, and the news media had to report on "The Tragic Sinking of Boaty McBoatface" for days afterwards when real people had died.

Way back when Prompto Argentum's (Final Fantasy XV, though it was still Final Fantasy Versus XIII at the time) name was revealed my friends and I thought his name was the most hilarious thing ever as promp means fart in Norwegian. If I remember correctly the name was initially fan-romanised to Prompio or something, which sounded even worse to us.

We were in 7th or 8th grade or something like that at the time in our defense. I rather like his name now, though it can still cause me to smile a bit.

I decided to pick up the twenty-fourth book of the Anita Blake Vampire Humper series with NO CONTEXT whatsoever, and the names are SO WEIRD.

Like, there are twins named Mephistopheles and Good Angel. Like seriously, who the fuck would name their kids that? How is that not the child-naming equivalent of driving down the highway shouting, "WOW LOOK HOW AMAZING TRAFFIC IS YUP SURE IS NOTHING TERRIBLE COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN NOSIREEBOB"?

please tell me you aren't serious with the "Good Angel" being the character's honest to goodness name - my brain is threatening to shut down with that one

It is her honest-to-goodness name. I couldn't believe it either. Like, it couldn't JUST be Angel, no, it had to be GOOD Angel.

Her brother got off lucky he didn't get named Bad Devil.

To be fair, if I remember correctly, vampires are renamed by their maker. Whether that's better or worse is up to you. Because they still terrible names.

Oh, but these ones aren't vampires. They're were-tigers. So their PARENTS are at fault, not a vampire.

I have yet to find a name that I find as funny as Teleporno (Celeborn's Quenya name)

What if Galadriel saw into the future all the way to the point in time where the English language became a thing, and electronics with the prefix "tele-" (eg, television) became a thing, and pornos that were called "pornos" became a thing. And upon musing on her newfound knowledge of the future, she realized what Teleporno meant.

And then she NEVER LETS CELEBORN LIVE THIS DOWN EVER.

Overload. I die at the name Overload; keep in mind that he's a Transformer...and I've read plenty of Transformers porn so that his name is hilarious to me in the DIRTY way.

I'm never going to stop laughing at Natural Harmonia Gropius. That's just the actual worst.

...oh, and I forgot the worst one of all. It's from a cartoon called The Potato Head Kids. They had a Star Wars parody.
The Leia character was named Princess Organica.
