Redness in mouth
(Anonymous) 2016-06-17 01:09 am (UTC)(link)So anyway, I can't figure out what it is. It doesn't look like what I think of as canker sores (no white), nor does it look like a cold sore either (which I don't get anyway). I haven't been taking any new medicine so I don't think its allergies. I have been eating more acidic foods than normal, and I have been kind of dehydrated? Could either of those be it? This has just straight up never happened to me before, and I am confused.
Re: Redness in mouth
See a doctor for confirmation and a prescription for Valtrex and be on your merry way.

Herpes zoster will remain in a dormant state in a specific segment the spinal column. It can often reappear, but the subsequent outbreak is limited to a single region of skin (dermatome) that corresponds with the spinal segment the virus has colonized, so to speak.
Again, this is something that should be confirmed with a physician and treated with the appropriate antiviral medication, as the treatment makes subsequent outbreaks less likely to occur, and outbreaks will often increase in frequency and severity if they are allowed to persist.

I think you'd have to work *really hard* to get too much. I'd probably puke before anything else would happen.
