Not!Secret 1 - It's almost been a year, and the Japanese fandom is STILL divided and arguing. So... well, I guess there's hope. The US/Western fandom seems to like it more than they did, anyway.

But I agree, it'd be nice to have the vitriol die down. As long as people accept "hey, it's okay to dislike it and to say that you dislike it" as well as "hey, it's fine to like it and to say you liked it."

#59 - Just playing Devil's Advocate, but perhaps it wasn't the character they were against, but because they were already thinking of breaking up with you and wanted to grasp at lame reasons. Either that was a terrible OC or I'm sure there were plenty of other signs that a break up was coming.

However, if you couldn't see it coming, and that reason was admittedly lame then you're better without each other. And seriously, you'll get over it. Maybe a little bitter and upset, but there's someone that'll care for you in return just as equally.

I don't think you need to worry. From what little I've seen of the fandom, it appears that people prefer to ship fem!Shepard with Garrus and/or Tali rather than any of the canon options. Come to think of it, the same goes for man!Shepard.

So I don't think they'd jump on you for that strangely obvious pairing.
