This is exactly how I feel about it. It was poorly thought out and poorly worded, but from my vague memories wasn't he lashing out at being treated like a piece of meat? This is one of those "obviously women have it worse but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck for men" things.

I just don't expect everyone to be nuanced in the various notions of modern feminism. If they were, we wouldn't NEED modern feminism. It wasn't the most brilliant thing he's ever said, but it was hardly "rawr I hate women!"
