Pfft. Don't project your own feelings/circumstances onto other people.

People write non-sexualized rape, violence, and abuse, and people read it. I highly doubt every reader is reading 20,000 words of emotional hurt/comfort and angst in order to spank it to two lines of fade-to-black abuse.

On one hand, fandom is batshit insane in that way.

On the other hand, it's sort of unreasonable to want to expect to be from it if you actively participate.
