I wish you'd made the slash part it's own secret. I don't have much to say about abuse but I'd be curious to know if terrible fucked up shit as an excuse to have two unlikely people have sex is more prevalent in slash fandom.

Not OP, but yeah that doesn't even have to be a secret, it's been prevalent in slash fiction for a long time. I think it's sort of the same mentality as someone shoving two action figures together and making them kiss (or...try to rape one another I guess.....?). Whether or not it's more prevalent, I couldn't say, but considering that slash fiction rules the internet, I'd be willing to bet there's a far bigger amount by sheer volume.
