Re: Question about breathalyzer locks

If the choice is between an expensive not-sure-if-it'll-work breathalyzer lock and your mom having panic attacks, I vote for panic attacks. It sucks for her, but maybe your therapists can work on that issue. It's not normal, and I'd bet good money it has to do with confronting the fact that in her condition, she's not fit to do something that most people take for granted, i.e. drive a car. Keeping her keys means she's not THAT bad, not yet.

Anything is better than her driving drunk and maybe hurting or killing someone. Panic attacks seem like a pretty trivial problem in comparison to going to prison for vehicular manslaughter.
