At the end of the day I doubt this is going to be true. It's mostly terrible for Britain because it makes it way harder for their economy to function, especially in the areas where they have the most actual strengths economically, and it'll be bad for the other EU countries because it makes it a harder economy to access. But I think any production and capital can pretty easily shift over to other places as necessary, which could even be marginally beneficial for wherever it goes to, and I don't think a recession in Britain would be THAT bad for global demand which is really the most important thing to global economic health.

It would still not be good, of course.
