In the sense that many children just want to do whatever job their parents do (because that's the only job they really know about), you are correct!

My mom started as a volunteer librarian at my elementary school when my older siblings were students there, one day a week (it's a very small school). When I was too young to start preschool, I would come with her on those days because my dad had a 9-5 office job back then, and I would just hang out there, playing quietly under a table a lot of the time. They're some of my earliest memories that aren't about playing with my sisters or our family vacations.

Mom still works there, btw; when I graduated 5th grade she told them either they could find another parent as crazy dedicated parent to volunteer, or they could just pay her to keep coming in every Wednesday like she had been for years.
