In some ways I agree with you, and in some ways I disagree too.

Dragons are always portrayed as some form of "Big Scary Monster". If they are portrayed as intelligent, then they are more often than not portrayed as evil.

I wish there were more dragon portrayals with intelligent dragons and ones that are good-aligned, instead of just ones like Smaug or GoT and DA dragons.

Jasper Fforde's Last Dragonslayer series might be something you'd enjoy!

Might look into FFXIV, or at least watch it. Nidhogg is legit the only "evil" dragon we've seen. And even then, he's so consumed by his grief over the death of his sister and the betrayal that caused it he can't stop if he wanted to.

Meanwhile, you have his dad and brother, as well as one sister, who are pretty cool people.
