I watched this movie on a whim, and I wasn't prepared for how it would fuck with me
His speeches on how there is no real him put something I have been feeling into sharp, clear words for the first time ever
"There is an idea of Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory."
And it struck me that this is the only time I have seen media that puts my feelings of depersonalization into words and its from the mouth of a literal serial killer, someone symbolic of everything wrong with society.

Is that his Aspie gf? I had mixed feelings about that. Ordinarily I love this show but that particular character and all their interactions felt very fanservicey in a "scoring social justice points" kind of way. If that's the goal, I'd rather see more Mrs. Hudson.

This show is so tropey and cute I love it! Multiracial main character, multiracial characters all over the place! Cute expressions and costumes, it really reminds me of Cardcaptor Sakura except I think I like it MORE?! But I don’t care, I’m genuinely enjoying this so much!! I can’t wait for season 2!

But one downside is the fandom. Nothing majorly bad but they’re so vanilla? I would really like some good old fic of Adrien here being non-con’d by Hawkmoth (YES I know who he is likely to be I don’t care,) I NEED the hurt, comfort and wompage of Marinette finding him broken and violated. The cat-icicle scene dialed up to 69!

I mean, if you're going to identify a character by a single facial characteristic, it's going to be the eyes more often than not, in part because in general they're the most uncomplicatedly pleasant/attractive part of the face and in part because they're just a really easy identifier (as opposed to lips, which people don't tend to notice unless they're really unusual).

Imagine somebody writing terrible fic about "the pointy-lipped man" and "the full-lipped man" doin' it in the back of the Impala
