Re: Characters that are supposed to be attractive in the book but aren't in the film adaptation

I don't get the impression that Arya's actually supposed to be ugly, just a little awkward, and not nearly as poised and put together as Sansa, which translates to the people around her seeing her as less attractive/just one of the boys, and her developing an inferiority complex because of the comparisons to her sister, who fulfills her expected role happily and with ease.

I mean, she's explicitly told she strongly resembles one of the most gorgeous people in recent history when she was young. She just doesn't follow the Southron model of dainty-pretty.
