What pairings/characters/fandoms/tropes would you like to see more fic for?

Well, the Silmarillion fandom is fairly small. And especially the parts of the fandom I frequent. And activity has really died down. I want more Melkor/Sauron and Sauron/Celebrimbor fics, especially porny ones. These days I'm mostly the only one writing porny fics for those pairings and I'd love to see other people writing some too.

Also I'd love more Galadriel/Celeborn. I want to try to write one at some point. There aren't too many fics out there right now.

Also Sauron gen fic. I just find him such a fascinating character. I'd love to see more gen fic explorations of him.

And also Celebrimbor gen fics. I love fics that explore his early years with his family. There are not nearly enough of those.

Pairings/characters/fandoms: All my pairings and fandoms. But if I had to choose one, Paris/Rory from Gilmore Girls. It's such a rich, excellent, textured pairing, and there's a really depressing paucity of fic.

If I had to choose another, classic Who femslash.

Tropes: a bunch of standard tropes that I happen to really like (fake dating, things like that). But also, in particular, I'd like to see a lot of Ruritanian romance AUs, because that seems like good clean fun, and also I'd like to read some really long leisurely cuddly fics where characters just go on vacation and hang out, because I like to see that kind of thing.

Grey Worm/Missandei, and for it to be filthy smut.

Tropes: well-written femdom

Steve/Thor. Come on, they obviously spent time together working on their sweet moves. Plus, Steve is totally worthy of Thor's hammer.

I'd love to see more Sugar Daddy and/or Mafia fics. I love that trope/genre so much.

I need more Wolf 359 fics. All the hurt/comfort for Doug Eiffel.

I'd love to read a fic where Steve could pick up Thor's hammer. I was surprised that he couldn't in the movie. Surely, Steve would be worthy if Thor is.

I seem to have exhausted all the fake dating fics in my fandoms. You'd think it would take longer since it comes up a lot when people talk about tropes they love, but I now I need more.

For the Silmarillion, fic that isn't about the Feanorians or bad guys. I'd especially love fic about the Sindar. I'd also love fic centered on elf/human pairings from the First Age.

I'd also love more fic that explores obscure characters from interesting time periods (like the kin-strife period in Gondor).

I recommend going through the Henneth Annun archive on AO3. Tons and tons of the best Tolkien fic out there, and at least 1/4 of it, if not more, is Silmarillion based: http://archiveofourown.org/collections/hasa/works

Hah! Love Tehta and her hilarious Gondolin stories.

I know not everyone likes these, but I actually really love the soulmark AUs, especially if there's interesting worldbuilding. There aren't that many in my fandom.

I'd really love to see more Reid/JJ fic in the "Criminal Minds" fandom. That's one of my personal favorite pairings, but I've pretty much read whatever's out there already (and we're talking on FF.net, AO3, through Google/LJ searches, etc.).

The biggest issue is that unfortunately, most of the really good writers for that pairing that I've found stopped writing for the fandom years ago. There are a couple current authors that I follow who keep coming out with new Reid/JJ; otherwise, most of the handful of stories that pop up nowadays...aren't really that good :/.

So it'd be nice to get a few more decent fics for that pairing coming in, or maybe a few more writers who like that pairing and might be up for some discussion about it and whatnot.

Plotty gapfiller fanfic - long, engaging, satisfying, multi-character stories that explain what happened during a canon timeskip, or during an incident that's discussed/briefly flashed-back-to in canon but never shown in full.

I don't think we're going to get a lot of really plotty fanfic until we start getting really plotty canon. All we've seen so far are bits and pieces, short stories that flesh out the characters a little, but leave so much unexplained that it's difficult to fill in the gaps. I think there would be an audience for a full-length story in that universe, and I also think that would provide much more of a jumping-off point for fans.
