smile fall when she realised they all rallied around Jon and not the both of them

I hate to point it out, but you misinterpreted that. Her intention was to snub Littlefinger by not speaking out and letting the other houses rally around Jon. Her smile fell when she looked out into the crowd and saw the look Littlefinger was giving her, and the fact that he deliberately not joining the cry of "King in the North". What you're supposed to take away is that she is immediately realizing she has crossed him and he isn't going to take it lightly. She may have just lost her most important ally, or worse he might retaliate.

No, Sansa's smile falls when Lyanna Mormont says "I don't care that he's a bastard." At that point she realises that it is solely Jon they are talking about. If you see her expression in the background at basically every point after that she looks sullen, and only smiles again when Jon looks at her, and even then it is a small one that falls almost immediately. In addition to this they say Jon avenged the Red Wedding, completely diminishing Sansa's role in it, completely forgetting that Jon totally fucked up last episode by falling for Ramsay's trap. (Sansa fucked up by not telling him about the Vale coming though) It's to Jon they beg forgiveness. They basically deny Sansa any recognition at all, despite the fact that it was for her they marched on Winterfell for. Notice that Sansa doesn't join in the cries for King in the North either.

I think she feels snubbed and that she and Littlefinger will team up for a while. The conversation that she and Jon had on the ramparts about needing to trust each other feels like foreshadowing that that is exactly what they won't do.

I remembered I saw someone on Reddit mentioning a featurette on this so I looked it up and it basically confirms that Sansa is not happy about the situation.

But that featurette is wrong, since she is still looking very self-satisfied when they're doing the chant.

Sure, a momentary pang of disappointment that she doesn't also get recognition is probably what happened, but the rest of it is still true. Sansa's intent is to do the opposite of what Littlefinger wants, the whole rest of the scene is her realizing she might have just screwed herself over.

But she doesn't? Up until the moment Jon looks down at her she looks quite blank. And what could she do but smile at that point?

Sansa expected them to rally around her, both Littlefinger and Jon pretty much assured her of that. But they didn't. They went to the bastard instead and solely to him. They even make a point out of the fact that he's a bastard, a Snow. This is what Catelyn feared would happen when Ned brought Jon home, and Sansa, as her mother's daughter, probably feels quite slighted. Speaking up during that scene wouldn't have helped her a bit. She would only have come across as petty, and that would certainly not have served her. Jon has pretty much taken her birthright and she is not happy about it though. I agree that she might have screwed herself over by refuting Littlefinger earlier on, but I still think they might work together. He has now pledged himself to house Stark for the time being, and he would much rather serve Sansa than Jon.

We obviously have very different readings of this though. We'll have to see in a little under a year from now to see how it really is :)

Um, well, the scene in question is right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSqaSdZd-ww

Watching it, I can see Sansa looking down and smiling to herself slightly even while Lyanna Mormont was making her The North Remembers speech. I can't see how one can interpret her expression at 1:47-1:48 as blank or unhappy -- it's clearly one of approval. The smile she gives Jon later seems genuine, and it fades only when she meets Baelish's eyes. So on the whole, I think I agree with herpy's reading.
