Re: Zootopia

When it first came out, people were comparing it a lot to Inside Out, which interested me because the two have such different scopes. Inside Out is hyper-focused on one little girl's mental breakdown, with hints to the larger world around her and the family dynamic that put her into this situation in the first place. Zootopia is about the failures, struggles, and gradual change of an entire society. One's a triumph of characterization, while the other's a triumph of world-building.

Of the two, I'd say Inside Out is more technically proficient, but Zootopia appealed more to my personal interests. I'd love to see a sequel that shows more of this setting. (A TV show would be even better, but I don't think they could pull off the art style with a TV budget.)
