I think you guys can do some detective work and figure out which secret inspired this.

I've always found myself seeing myself in both Hermione and in Neville. Like I could be their child. I have her brains and passion for justice and his klutziness and nervousness around people.

Meanwhile, I'm a combination of Hermione and Luna.

Oh, also, both Sara Crewe and Anne Shirley for their imaginations. Especially Sara. She was the character I related to most as a kid.

I'm a mix of Hermione and Ginny myself. I was such a know-it-all as a kid but I've always been defined by being a redhead and a little sister to my brother too. Even the way Ginny is suddenly noticed way more in the sixth book that people complain about goes right along with my experience when I somehow became part of my brother's group of friends rather than just the little sister who was always hanging around.

Bilbo Baggins. I just want to stay at home with my books and delicious food. But if an adventure comes along to help someone, I'll begrudgingly help. And probably end up enjoying it.

I watched Kill La Kill and going "Yeah,that's probably me." considering the entire first half is Satsuki Kiryuin training people under this plan that she's basically told no one about, didn't ask anyone to be in, just kind of enlisted people in her personal army because they wouldn't understand if she told them.

I really should watch this show again.

Honestly, from the 2.5 seasons I've seen of Teen Wolf, Stiles. Severe attention problems and chronic foot in mouth disease. XD

Some of my favorite characters remind me of the things I like about myself, if a bit caracitured (Rainbow Dash, sort of Vriska [I'm not a complete bitch though]), the things I like and don't like about myself (Nynaeve al'Meara), or the person I wish I could be (Moiraine Damodred).

I don't know if I've seen a single character that reminds me completely of myself. Though I tend to think first of female characters since I am female, and now that I think of it some more Karkat also kind of reminds me of myself in some ways...(appropriate since he is my patron, and also my favorite after Vriska).

Like OP, Rachel Green is my least favorite F.R.I.E.N.D. because she reminds me too much of myself in all the ways I don't like.

More positively, Mindy Lahiri from The Mindy Project reminds me a lot of myself.

Crona/Chrona from Soul Eater is weirdly similar to me.

I'm not nearly as much of an asshole to people, but I am pretty snarky, usually carry headphones around and, most importantly, large parts of his character/character development remind me of myself a lot.
