I don't care about the draft. I don't care about male imprisonment rates. I don't care about prison rape. I don't care about 'false' accusations against men.

(Anonymous) 2016-07-02 07:43 am (UTC)(link)The school system has gradually changed to be more focused on progressive forms of learning to give girls a chance at academic development, but boys develop ideas of masculinity very early on, and these ideas become ingrained so they are unwilling to abandon masculinity to focus on a more positive form of development. Boys hate the idea of becoming "feminized" by being "nerds" or "faggots" or anything else that masculinity conflates with success in the current academic system.
TL;DR The school system has gotten better to encourage girls, but men and boys refuse to adapt.
