Agreed. I don't know why "anti" communities even exist. Just more "stop liking what I don't like". I'd think a better use of one's time would be to focus on what they do enjoy, not what they don't.

Agreed. I can see the appeal in the sense that for some people, it can be a good means of venting with others who feel the same way...but there's only so far that ranting attitude can go, only so long it'll last, too. After a while it'd just start sounding too much like an echo chamber to really be any fun, I'd think.

And I agree with the secret itself as a whole. There's lots of things people like that I personally don't get the appeal of. But unless they're somehow, some way, forcing me to watch/read/listen to it, I don't really see why I should get all bent out of shape about them liking it.

Same. I do understand that sometimes it's cathartic to get those feelings out, so if you see a lot of praise or constant squeeing about something you dislike you might get a bit of...well, release by saying, “I don't like this thing,” but that's about as far as I get taking it. One conversation, fine, but going back to it again and again seems like a waste of time. (Time, that, yes, you could spend on pursuits that you do enjoy.)

I follow a blog called Slacktivist which has been slowly reviewing the Left Behind series. It's kind of an anti-community, but the bloggers justification is that he's trying to point out bad writing and bad theology. It's actually a great community.
