Lots of rapists are glorified for things they have done other than rape. "Rapists" as a category generally aren't glorified.

My girlfriend kept telling me about rape culture and how it blinds people to how bad rape is, and I, typical man, always kinda thought she was being, well, not oversensitive per se, but maybe misled by the media. Then I took a look around fandom.
